On the water again after more than a year

Hi All,
Sharing my first day back on the water after more than a year (I had a year of 3 orthopedic misadventures). An eventful day sailing in high winds and experiencing my fist capsize ever. A very wet and sunburnt day.
Looking forward to more sailing but without the capsizing!

Your welcome! This was the work of my son who was visiting from Sydney with his new DSLR. These are the first photos of me sailing my H15 that have ever been taken and I'm quite pleased with them myself. We had to make a few runs at the jetty at Point Walter, on the Swan River in Perth, Western Australia (look it up on Google Earth - it's an interesting river to sail). The day was very overcast with a steady 15 knots gusting to 20. You really have to keep you wits about you and keep moving your human ballast to keep these boats at the right angle. It was mid week so didn't have too much river traffic to worry about and could pay attention to the signs on the water of approaching gusts.

hi Esterhazyinoz.. Those pics look fantastic! wish I was there. You guys must have had a great time, and you must be pleased with the way that boat handled those conditions.
I will be getting out this year,hopefully soon, after a couple year off. Cant wait and your pic's have inspired me.

Thanks for the compliment George. If we all had offspring with good cameras and telephoto lens standing on a jetty recording us, we'd all have photos like these. I like these so much myself I have the sequence pinned up on my office wall.
Fair winds for the coming Northern Hemisphere sailing season. I'll be in New England in May and I would love to find a place to rent a boat for a day to have a sail. I'll keep my eyes open while I'm up in Maine.
