I gave my “Titanic” talk to the Tred Avon Yacht Club in Oxford last night. It’s a great feeling to look out at a sea of faces and know that, if you just stop talking, you will be able to hear a pin drop.

BTW thanks to everyone here for not pestering me with “Titanic” questions. I’m Titanic’ed out at this point.

It took a while to get to sleep last night after being hyped up all day for the talk so I was late casting off from the TAYC mooring. This brings my bumbling around cruising to an end as I’ll now be moving generally north eastward. I’m headed to Annapolis to catch up with Jim and Ron and then plan to explore the Miles River a bit before heading up the bay to await suitable conditions for the run down Delaware Bay to Cape May.

The last sail of my recent cruising was over six miles dead to windward alone and double reefed returning to Oxford from a visit to Horn Point. I discovered on this sail that my portlights, which are tight in rain, will leak slightly when immersed in solid water. I was sore and a bit achy after all this exercise but not in the place at the root of all my recent back problems so I think that episode is behind me.

I got the proper batteries for the SPOT so tracking should start to work reliably again.

Also: Not a bit of oil in the separator cum liquid trap in several hours of motoring. There is just a little bit of grey emulsion from start up condensation. The exhaust is cleaner and more smoke free than it has ever been.

Heck, I do that all the time when I'm singlehanding. Even the dolphins start applauding when I stop singing along with the CDs!

Guess you have Willie playing with that post's title.

Enjoy.
