Finally managed to leave Keyport this AM. Not an early start, as we tried to fill the tank with diesel, discovered the vent line stopped up. All we could do was get foam out of the filler spout. Was fairly easy to find and fix, so we are not officially on our way south. Sailed across Raritan Bay today, into New York harbor, and took a turn by the Statue of Liberty. Anchored up tonight in the park behing the statue. Pretty nice anchorage, and well protected. Tomorrow we head offshore towards Cape May. Forecast is a little iffy, but it doesn't get any better for the next week, so we are going to head on out. Mostly chilly, but supposed to be some gusty winds tomorrow afternoon. Will continue to post whenever possible.
