on deck solar panel

I want to determine if my on deck solar panet works. Has anyone troubleshooted to determine where the wires terminate or if there is a controller inline?

On my '99 410 there is a solar controller for the deck panel mounted behind the "inner" board inside/behind the main electrical panel.

I have 2 100 watt panels and a Victron controller. It connects to my iPhone and when I'm on the boat gives me current stats, and history for as long as I've used it. How many watts are being generated, state of battery charge, etc.

Have you tried connecting a multimeter to the solar panels electrical wiring?

My Panel was just 5 watts so that did not need a controller.
A simple Diode works.
