If you get the Outdoor Life Network(OLN)check out "Yachting World" Monday nights @ 7pm central,8pm eastern. Sailing coverage is so poor on T.V., I thought I would let everyone know of this excelent show. Bob S/V Lady Di II

Grand Prix Racing

A few years ago OLN aired a sailboat racing series that followed the Australian 18 ft Skiff pro tour. It was called Grand Prix Racing (I believe). It was on daily, with a rerun late nite. The series moved each week to a new location....kind of like the pro golf tour, with a round each day. Man, I really loved watching that series, I wish they would rerun it, or provide it on video for purchase. The Aussie 18 foot skiff is absolutely the most exciting racing you will ever see. Following, or preceeding (I can't remember) GP Racing, OLN aired a program called "The Boatyard." It was a general interest show about sailing and sailboat maintenance. Also a great show. Does anyone have any information about these two shows? If so let us know.

Yes - Phil should!

Our poor tired webmaster! Another task? But hey, I would certainly reference it! Maybe this would be a good string for the headline on the site - we could gather info on listings really quick! Rob

OLN Sailing Coverage

The OLN network has several shows a week. Last monday the shows were on and covered Maxi boat racing. 80ft daysialers, what a hoot. These boat are so fast it's amazing. They ran two shows from 8pm eastern to 9pm. The week before they ran two shows the first of which was about southern ocean racing/Vende Glode contestants. They raced from France into Newport. Great coverage while the snow was flying around here. The second show last week was on the big ocean cats. When you see these things in the sailing mages they look big, but when you see a person standing next to one at the slip and the bow of one sponson is 5ft over the guys head you geat an idea of the scale. The speed of these giants was Awesome! Regards, Chris
