Older O'day info needed---HELP!

I have my eye on an old O'day daysailer. It is for sale and I am trying to find out more about it.
It is 15 feet long and has "Class 52" on the ID plate along with the
HIN of 23064

Can anyone identify this?

Well, Hull# 23064 suggests a boat built around 1970-71, Class # 52 means that was the 52nd of that model to be built. If she is 15' LOA, I'd guess that she is a 1970 O'DAY 15. 1970 being the first year for the model, the low class# of 52 would sound correct. See pics below of an O'DAY 15 of that vintage.

I believe this is the boat I am looking at. Do you have any details on this model? I looked at the Oday site and could find nothing in 1970-1971 that matches this. I am looking for more info.... weight, sail area, etc. Also an opinion of how well this fits two adults for a day sail.

No, that is the newer, 1981-82 O'DAY 15... only the name is the same. the 1970-73 O'DAY 15 was more of a racing class, but should have plenty of room for 2-3 people, I would think.

This web site is a pretty good place, I think we do have a couple of owners of the "older" O'DAY 15 model that log-in at times.
