Pumping a fuel tank out may or may not not be a DIY job, depending...The folks who do "Fuel Polishing" (another option if the fuel isn't too old) can remove it for you.The question then becomes; how to dispose of it?Regards,Gord
I would pump it out. You may not get every drop out but it will be fine once you get new fuel in the tank. If you have a cleanout then you should be able to scrub out the tank too.I am sure that you will find a disposal site in your area.
burn it in your oil burner at home. You may not be able to get a hose into your tank from the fill hole. You can connect to the engine side of your tank and pump it out from there. The only problem is cloging the screen in the tank.
Jim:How many oil burners do you think they have installed in homes in San Deigo. Most of these guys never have to turn on their heater or A/C year round in their climate.
