Hello all, new 1981 Hunter 22 owner here just trying to get familiarized with all her bits and pieces. I'm going through all her systems and undoing some weird choices made by the previous owner and I've hit a dead end on trying to find info on the original mast spreaders for the old Hunter 22s. As you can see from the pics, it looks as though the end caps on the spreaders are only holding the shrouds in place with what looks like some kind of monel wire. The shrouds are loose and can slip up and down. I have no idea if this is ok. I can't find any info on what the oem spreaders and end caps are. The spreaders are attached to the bracket on the mast with one through bolt and they seem tight but it still allows them to shift on the brackets fore and aft about 2 inches at the tip. Is that normal? I don't mind upgrading to something that works better or replacing with oem parts, if these aren't oem. Any info you have is greatly appreciated.

Genny, do you happen to know the length of your spreaders? I noticed that mine move quite a bit as well, but have concerns that they may have been cut down or modified in the past.
