Hello Fellow Sailors,
I'm new here but not new to sailing. I recently purchased a 1986 Catalina 27 std rig. It has a CDI 4/6 B Reefer 1 installed. There was no manual for the reefer on board. Manuals for everything else. Does anyone out there have the same CDI system Manual. I have contacted CDI and found out few parts are available. They did not have a manual for the 4/6 B.

I would love to have a manual for my reefer/furler. Sure would simplify understanding the operation and maintainence. Can someone help me? I would pay for copying and postage.

Frank,
Thanks for the reply. As far As I know I'm not missing any parts although the Genoa is off the furler/reefer and I have not used it yet because sail needs some repairs before reinstalling. I've inspected the upper parts as best I can with binoculars. There is a frayed line in the upper sheave area that I may have to replace (internal halyard). I'll know more once I get my brother up in a bossuns chair for a closer look. I would like to have a manual (I have what is available from CDI's website. That's how I identified the equipment). I'm not familiar with this style of equipment. I've owned larger sailboats with the more common furling gear. I'm a bit anal since I like to have manuals covering equipment I own especially when it's unfamiliar to me.
If you have a manual I would be happy to pay for copy and postage fees.

Regards,
Dale in FL

Hello All,
I'm still in need of a manual for a 1986 vintage CDI 4/6 Reefer 1. If anyone has one I will be happy to reimburse you for copy and mailing fees.
