Crawled around under the cushions etc on the weekend and still did not see the thru-hull fittings on my new (to me) Catalina 30 MkII, Neither the icebox nor the sink will drain so I am thinking that they do not drain into the bilge but are draining out via a thru-hull fitting. I just could not seem to find them during my limited time on the boat this weekend. (I am also limited at present as I am awaiting an MRI for possible meniscus tear in my right knee. so having some idea where to start looking next weekend will be a help).
Thanks

The galley sink drain thru hull on my MK1 is directly below the sink near the muffler. I have to feel for it more than see it. My icebox/frig has a drain hose (w/ a plug) just below the box into the galley, it does not go directly into the bilge. The hose will pull out a few inches and it is high enough to allow it to drain into a gallon milk jug.

Iain, on my Mark III the through hull is just to port (left) of the engine access in the galley.

The drain from the icebox/fridge on mine originally went through a foot pump to port of the cockpit steps that pumped to the galley sink drain. It was a source of bad odors as water tended to sit in the line. I eliminated the foot pump and let the fridge drain into the bilge.

I checked out my boat this weekend, I have two seacocks in the area under the galley sink. One directly below the starbord sink and one(which must be open to use the icebox foot pump) right on the port side of the engine access. I can not see the seacock so I have to follow the drain hose down with my hand, the seacock is on the aft side of the hose. I did not see this seacock on the plans that captcoho posted.
Though I've only had my boat for one season, I have not experienced any foul odors associated with this system, however I am on a fresh water lake. I really like the icebox foot pump for getting the ice melt out of the icebox when leaving the boat.
