I'm installing my new holding tank and installing new tank fittings as well. On the tank label it clearly states not to use teflon on the fitting threads. I certainly would like to use something on the threads. We got into a discussion at the club. Some people say to use silicon, some say thread compound (either Teflon or non-Teflon), Life Caulk, 4200, etc.In other words, as many different answers as the number of people asked. Now, I know that odors can and will permeate through silicon and thread compound. Life Caulk or 4200...beats me.What (if anything) is best for the task?Cheers,BobNonsuch 30C #77Lazybones
