We plan on visiting Boston Harbor this summer and would like some recomendations as to where the best Marinas are. Good food, bars, entertainment and site seeing close by would be great. Look forward to hearing from you.

Boston

mark, The Boston harbor Sailing Club has moorings available in the inner harbor. Its located at Rowes wharf. Walking distance to most everything in town, North End (great food), Fannuel Hall (shopping, food, entertainment), and since Boston is a great walking city, pretty much anything else you might want to do. They have a launch service available till at least 8:00pm nightly 10:00 pm weekends and the have a dinghy dock. Cost is $35 per night for transients. They can be reached at 617-345-9202. Constitution Marina in the Charlestown Naval yard is also good. Bryce S/V Spellbinder

Agree with Bryce

We agree with all Bryce said, as BHSC is where we learned to sail, and we found it's location very central...BTW you may also want to experience dining at the Barking Crab - just don't listen to those political Dept. of Hea;th reports...we eat there often, and we are still alive... also, have you sailed into Boston before? There are a few 'local knowledge' tricks, but best about it is sailing under a very low flying plane coming in for a landing...you can almost reach up and scratch it's belly...
