oil filter for Universal M25 aka Kubota D 850

I have a newly acquired 1985 Catalina 30 with a factory installed M25 that we are rebuilding. The machine shop finished resurfacing the head in record time and by a miracle my diesel mechanic is free tomorrow. I ordered the oil filter from Westerbeke, but it will not be delivered in time and so I will need to pick up something local tomorrow at an auto parts store. Does anyone know a compatible Fram, Purolator, or any name brand filter likely available locally in Los Angeles for a Universal M25 or Kubota D 850?

Which M25? They are very different.

Yes there are many that will fit that you can find around MDR. If you want to go to a chandlery have you tried The Boat Yard or C&C Marine or even West Marine?

Sheesh. $18 for an oil filter seems a bit steep to this frugal sailor. I use NAPA brand on our three cylinder Kubota (8MDKDR31457C) at half or more the price. Most all of the popular filters come from WIX anyway and then rebranded. The NAPA filter part number that I use on our engine is on the boat and it is the same for this engine as well as our main propulsion engine, a Yanmar four cylinder.

Thanks to everyone who responded, particularly jssailem for the super-quick response. I was able to obtain the filter in time. The mechanic put the motor back together and the rebuild is proceeding nicely. We do have a new issue which I am going post. Thanks again!
