On that engine (4JH, I think), Joe, the dipstick tube goes all the way to the bottom of the pan.. you could get all the oil out by attaching to the top of the tube and extracting.. A vinyl tube inside the dipstick tube is unnecessary but ya may want to try it that way first. another option; since the tube is attached to the bottom of the pan with a banjo bolt you could put something too catch all the oil under the rear of the pan and loosen the banjo bolt and drain the oil directly into a container. without the use of a pump.
The GM series of Yanmars do not have a dipstick tube. The dipstick sticks through a hole in the side of the engine block. That hole is considerably above the oil level so a stiff tube extractor is necessary since there is no internal guide tube.
