Problem Serious Oil Canning of Hull
The areas of canning is at the factory marked lifting strap locations.
The worsted is at the rear (both sides) lifting location on shower side is the worst. Which seems to be about were the shower and head along with wet locker is located. Then in the strap location in bow area not as bad but is still noticeable. While the boat is being lifted. Rear seems to have a permanent canning in.
This was noticed first time boat was hauled out when boat was about 4 years old.
Dealer came out took a look and I was told this normal and not that bad.
Yea Right! I feel they basically tried to ignored me.
Problem...It is now gotten worse!
About a year and half ago when out for a quick haul it was really scary. Enough so that the boat yard crew warned me not to ever take this boat off shore.
I was told it could be fixed butt ????
I am now starting to think this maybe the loud popping noise coming from the shower area that I have been hearing for the last 10 years as the boat experiences temperature changes in the morning and evenings. What got me to think this was just recently .....you know how when finishing off a bottle of water it will collapse a little as you suck it down and you put the cap back on and throw it in the sink and go back to bed and a short while later you will hear a loud pop just as you have fallen back to sleep at 3 am. Well the other night it was like a light bulb when off in my head. Yep thats it!
So the big question ....what are my options to getting this fixed?
thanks
