Oil Additives

I'm sure this question will stir up a hornets nest, but here it is anyway!Has anyone used an oil treatment such as the one made by Lucas Oil Products in a Yanmar marine diesel? You can use them as an additive mixed with the oil or as an alternate to the oil itself. I personally use it in gasoline auto engines and also know that the trucking industry is a big proponent of this type of product. Anybody got any experience here? Thanks.

I have used Lucas and others

And I have to tell you that lucas works GREAT!! I use it in my Yanmar/Cars/Lawnmower/Motorcycle and they run much smoother/Cooler with it and I get more power.As far as the others,.. I had a rear main seal going out (squeeling) on my yanmar so I called a mechanic buddy of mine and he said,.. we can rebuild the motor, but first try some X1R and see what happens I did and the motor quit squeeling and runs just fine after another 500 hrs saved me a $2500 rebuild. No Kidding!I can't say enough good about Lucas, but, it did nothing to help with the squeeling,I do think the main seal would not have tried to go bad had I been running it before.
