OEM Solar Panel problem

My boat has a built in solar panel that fits on a removable panel on deck jusdt forward of the companioway. Forward of the removable panel is another removable panel on which the dorade vents are mounted. In the process of removing and rebedding those panels I found that the wires from the solar panel are positioned so the companionway slide hits them near the place where the penetrate the deck and go inside to the breaker panel. So, everytime I open the companionway all the way, it slams against the wires. Of course one wire was broken at that point. Just passing this along in case any of you have a problem with the solar panel. This is a good first spot to check when troubleshooting. I repaired the wires and installed a stop block to limit the travel of the companionway slide.

Good to know, thanks. We just bought a 376, which has the same solar panel setup.

Thanks. Have a Hunter 410 with the same kind of solar panel configuration. I will open up and check.
