Odd little plug under the v berth

Hi allI found an odd looking pipe / plug just forward of the v-birth entrance on my Columbia 22. What is that thing? Please tell me it isnt holding the ocean out because it doesnt look particularly sturdy!!ThanksSteve

If it has a wire running into it, or a place for one, its probably your depth sounder transducer. If it has a shutoff valve, its probably the original thru hull for your head. Hard to tell with out more info though.

could be the fresh water tank fill if its under the cushions on the v berth
