Allan,I have a 376 and what Hunter has told you is correct.Your sketch did not reproduce on my screen but I presume you are referring to the aft edge of the keel.Because it is impossible to mould into the fine after edge of the keel stub Hunter ended the stub about a foot short of the required position. Then they fabricated two flat plates of GRP, bonded them together and bonded the assembly to the back edge of the keel blunt ended keel stub.First they heard of trouble was when owners in the far north laid up for the winter and discovered this fairing piece was breaking away due to the water inside freezing and expanding- so they drilled a 1/4" hole each side just above the bottom of the stub to let the water drain.My boat was June 1996 and did not have these holes so yours may be an early one too.I am assured that this piece is not part of the structural integrity of the hull!!!Regards,
