The outboard motor bracket (Fulton ? )on my transom needs replacement--the bushings on the hinge pivots are corroded/worn through. The mounting hardware looks like carraige or round head machine bolts BUT the is no access from inside the cockpit. It's in line with the fuel locker but the interior walls are seamless. I read recently somewhere that someone had to put a seperate charging cable from their outboard with an alternator back to the battery for recharge. I thought that the Mercury9.9 recharged through the start cables . I can't get through to Merrcury to check it out.
