i recently bought, in canda, a 1966 O'Day 17--it is not an osprey, nor a day sailer. I want to contact people with similar boaats to talk aboauta rigging, sails, setting up the main sheet and jib and the like. it is a strange craft with low seats, but does not require sitting on rail becasue of wide beam, has center board but only all the way up or down positions. given its length I wonder if this note belongs in day sailer not osprey list. anyone out there with similar craft. fair winds. my email address is lanskylm@email.uc.edu

I have heard of this boat on another forum, but just can't remember the details. A quick search indicates that it may be Built by O'Day (Canada) Limited Brampton Ontario Check the archives at this website http://boonedocks.net/talkboard/talkboard.php3?mode=search&group=daysailer and do a search using the keywords canadian daysailer. Four items will come up. The last one will identify two other owners that you may be able to compare notes with.
