Oday Widgeon (12'4")

Hi,

I'm buying a used Oday Widgeon from a guy in Wisconsin in the next few weeks on my way to Door County, and I just wanted to know if they were stable enough to sail on Lake Michigan? I'm a pretty capable sailor, been sailing for a few years now and I'd only be using the main most likely. I'd plan on launching from the beach on Peninsula State Park, and they rent and launch 14 foot Hunter's to sail in the bay that is there. Just wondering if the Widgeon could sail well enough in comparison to the Hunters.

Well, I used to sail my Widgeon on Buzzards Bay near Cape Cod. As long as you sail her like the small centerboard boat she is, you should be fine.
