I have just acquired a 10' Oday daysailer and have not found any info on it. Not even on this website. Does anyone have any info on it? Bfredericks@keystorage.com
I've come to this site in hopes of locating an Oday widgeon. I hope I have the name and spelling right. I don't think it's been made for a while. I think they were 12' long but may have been 10'? They were rowable and had a small sailing rig. Thanks in advance for any help.
The Widgeon specs are 12'-4" length,beam 5', draft cb up 5" cb dn 3'6", sail area 90 sq ft. the Widgeon sails cat or sloop rigged and even carries a spinaker. this boat was very popular as a sail trainer for camps and yacht clubs.
The Oday Sprite ha a length of 10'-2", beam of 4'-9", draft cb up 3" cb dn 3'-5", sail area 63 sq ft. sails cat or sloop rigged, kick up rudder an center board
Thanks for the info on widgeon. Would love to find one ,or someting similar, to sail off the beach hear in sunny Fl. lots of skinny water in this area. thanks again.
