Bought this one early last year. Spend the summer doing what it needed to get off the shore. The 1962 four hp motor runs smooth. The sails were good to fair. Took the mainsail in and had all the battons resewn and a couple spots touched up. Backstay was frayed and had that replaced. Sealed the keel and some expensive bottom paint, a compass, a hand pump to go with the now wired bilge pump and I am ready. The carpet is bought and will be installed in the spring in the cabin. Only problem I have now is the 4' 4" draft for the fixed steel keel. Couldn't find a place to get it wet. Every place I went I kept getting told I needed a crane. Anyhow, this summer that is what I have planned at the marina. As I have not seen any pictures of the "K" version, I attached a couple before and after shots.

Thats sweeeet, but I bet it would look 1000 times cooler without those lifelines and stanchions.

Yea 3'9" seems to be about the major number for ramp launching. Maybe a tongue extension would help. Or a big dolly wheel and a strong strap.

Are the lifelines and stanchions modification They were just hanging on when I got it. I could remove them, but i spent some considerable time replacing the bolts and sealing them back down. Two person job. Daughter held the wrench inside...... If they are not original, off they will come.
I have seen the tongue extension and seen videos of the big dolly wheel. I really don't want to put too much more into this project as I am looking to get myself in a 25ft.
