i have a 1979 28 ft oday in great shape however i have a small dent on the side of the hull just above the water line 3 to 4 inch in front of where the stanches tie is this a defect? or is this something i need someone to look at

This seems to be common to the 28. I saw it on mine and checked another in the marina and it had it too. then I raninto others at the rOnDAYvous and they had it. whatever causes it, it is not a structural defect, so enjoy! Bill Coxe, O40 Kukulcán, New London, CT

My O'Day 28 has the same dents as well. I have asked around and the marina guys have told me not to worry as they have seen it in other O'Day 28s.
