I am need to repair/replace the centerboard for a 1973 O'day Daysailer II (16'9"). The cable is broken off from where it is attached (integrally) into the fiberglass board. Has anyone attempted this type of repair? Are there sources for replacing the entire board and cable? Does anyone have a daysailer that is not seaworthy but can be used for salvage of non-standard parts like this?

Cape Cod Shipbuilders

Cape Cod Ship Builders were able to provide me with a CB for my DS1. At the time I don't think they had DS2 boards, but when I talked to one of them at local boat show he indicated that he could do them. I would give them a try in any event. For what its worth, I cannot imagine that your board is totalled. Take a look at www.westsystem.com for ideas on fiberglass work. Its really not too hard. You might be able to do it yourself and add a valuable skill to your bag Justin - O'day Owner's Web
