O'Day 39, holding tank

I'm replacing my forward tank, located under v-bert bunk. The one I removed was a replacement for the original tank (I think). Tank dimensions are: (LxWxH) 29.5"x8.5"x12" Has anyone done this project already? If you replaced your tank, where did you purchase it, I'm not finding these dimensions for new tanks. Thanks

Cap'n M: You don't say if this is a fresh water or waste tank. It doesn't really matter because the collapsable tanks are made for each application. Two years ago I replaced my settee located fresh water tank with one of the collapsable tanks and it worked out great. You don't need to vent them because they collapse as they empty due to ordinary atmospheric pressure. Also they are easy to install/remove because they fold up to the size of the opening you shove them through. Mine is now three years old and shows no signs of wear. They come in a huge variety of shapes and volumes. Found mine in the WM catalogue. Take a look at them. You might like what you see. Mike
