Got our documentation paperwork - now where do you put the numbers on the O'Day 34/35? Just curious what's worked for this particular boat.Michael O'"Frigate"

Engine Compartment

Good Morning!There have been numerous locations discussed about this and several opinions.There is a ledge just behind the engine access panel, just in front/bottom of the engine. I have mine etched into the fiberglass, colored, and then glassed over with epoxy. It can readily be seen by anyone interested in it by raising the top to the compartment. I've had courtesy inspections by the Coast Guard and nobody'e ever complained about it.

That sounds like a much better location than simply placing it on a bulkhead! And I wasn't comfortable with past suggestions to put the documentation number in a cockpit locker. Yours is a great idea! (Do I need to give credit to you in a footnote below the number?) ;-)Michael O'
