O'Day 28 outboard

I bought an O'Day 28 that originally had a saildrive. It has been removed and a 9.9 HP Mercury installed. So far it seems to have adequate power.

Does anybody have a good method of storing gas above deck? The previous owner sat a 6 gal tank on the seat in the cockpit. Works, but not pretty and not secured.

Are there any lift or tilt devices that get the prop out of the water without the user leaning too far over the stern and busting a gut getting it lifted or tilted?

"GARELICK Outboard Motor Tilter" at West Marine. Others like defender may sell it. I have one and it does save the back.

make sure you get the one with the longer range to get deeper
