Two years ago, I picked up a 1982 Oday 28 with a centerboard. I sail in relatively shallow water and have never lowered the centerboard. Not knowing the age of the line used to secure it, I've decided to replace the line and hardware. The plan is to have the yard lift the boat in the slings, allowing the CB to be lowered for inspection, minor repair and painting. I have a window from Saturday afternoon to Monday morning to do the work and am trying to prep for most issues I might find. I reached out to Rudy to try and get a sense of how the CB is rigged. He could not help. Can anyone provide information on what I might be dealing with or how their CB was rigged?
