Hi, I'm a new 1980 O'day 28 owner and am looking for some picture of where other 28 owners have mounted their bimini tops and pics of how the backstay area is split. I've also noticed that a few photos do not show in previous threads. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for a great site.

My bimini is split by a "fly" between the leading edge of the bimini and the aft edge of the dodger. The fly is a section of sunbrella about 20" wide and spans the cockpit from side to side. In order to use this system under sail the traveler must be moved to the deck in front of the dodger, an expense to be sure. I had my enclosure professionally made and installed to the tune of about 6K plus another grand for the traveler move. Not cheap but the luxury of an extended season in the Great Lakes plus no biting bugs is worth every penny. Also it is nice to get out of the blazing sun now and again and it can be folded back for full sun as desired. The enclosure has full side and rear curtains made of clear plastic with five panels opening to screens which block 80% UV so you don't roast on a hot day. If you are on the OD owners list I can find you and e-mail you the photos I have of the enclosure.

Mike, I'm looking to do the same. Could you send the same pics to me also? I'm registered here but just in case I'm at mkirk51 at hotmail dot com. Thanks much.
Where do you dock? I've been threatening a friend in Caseville to visit but haven't gotten there yet.
