O'Day 272LE Packing

Does anyone know what size packing material is used in the stuffing box on an O'Day 272LE?

What size shaft do you have? I use 3/16” in my O’Day 322 with a 1” shaft.

I haven't measured but it looks like 1"

Does anyone know what size packing material is used in the stuffing box on an O'Day 272LE?

The packing in my 1988 272LE with a 1" bronze shaft is 1/4". I initially expected it to be 3/16" but it was too large. I have a Universal M12 in my boat.
