Will the transom of a 272 with an inboard diesel accept an outboard motor mount? Is modification necessary? Backing plate? Is the OEM mount still available? Has anyone installed an outboard motor on their diesel 272? Any thoughts or recommendation appreciated! During the dead calm HOT summer days we would like to motor without the diesel fumes or unwanted heat in the cabin.
