I have an Oday 272, Does anyone know exactly how many through hulls there are below the water line? I have seen 2. One for the main galley sink and the other I believe is for the diesel intake. Does anyone know when putting the boat in the water for the first time of the season if there is there a valve I need to close for the intake?

The only other one I can think of is the raw-water intake for the head. If you have the owner's manual, there should be a diagram showing all through-hulls and sea cocks.
It's been five years since I sold my 272LE, so my recollection of the boat's technical details is a bit fuzzier than it used to be.

The 2 thru-hulls you mentioned are just starboard and port of the aft portion of the keel. The raw-water intake for the diesel should have a strainer fitting of some sorts on the outer hull. There is also most likely another thru-hull just starboard of the front portion of the keel, which as mentioned by Capt'n Pete is a sea-water intake for the head. And yes, there should be valves on all of these thru-hulls. Watch for more thru-hull discussion on a post I'm getting ready to send soon. Fair winds & tight sails!
