I have just purchased a 1977 O'Day 27, and in desperate need of owner's manuals or any other documentation relative to this specific vessel. Can anyone offer assistance? I'd also like to establish contact with any owners of same boat regarding repairs that I know will surface in the months to come. Many thanks!

CP - Manuals are sometimes hard to come by - you might want to check with Rudy at www.odaysailboats.com. More useful, however, will be the manuals for the equipment on the boat. Most of those can be found by getting the manufacturer's name off each unit and crawling the web. Ask your specific questions here - lots of people here with lots of information. Have Manual

Have a manual for 1978 O'Day 27 - could fax it to you. Have owned my boat for 20 years and repaired or replaced many things like rudder bearings, rudder post, engine valves, sails, added furler, cushions, interior hull liner. None were result of failure. Think you will like the boat - simple, easy to handle and maintain.
