oday 26 backstay

O'Day 26 back-stay
John, I'm guessing that you need to replace your back-stay. Can you take your old back-stay off your mast? If you can take it off and bring it to a rigger, I'm sure he could make you up a new back-stay, even if the old one is broke in two or twisted and kinked. One of our club members owns a 1986 O'Day 26 keel centerboard mast head sloop, but I doubt if he knows how long his back-stay is, off the top of his head. Good luck with that. Joe

Oday 26 back stasy
How long is your mast? My 1984 Oday 26 is on her trailer and I could measure my backstay for you. Not sure which rig I have. Mine is a a keel-centerboard boat and I just purchased it last fall and have been too busy with work to go over her much since purchase.
