How many crew do you normally sail with?
Howard, Congrats on the rebuild. We did the same thing to our 25, 6 years ago and there is nothing more satisfying. If you regularly sail with 3 or 4 in crew then the spinnaker is a lot of fun, but also extra work. If like me most of your sailing is just you and your significant other, an asymmetrical might be a better choice. They are a lot less work and less likely to get you into trouble if you are short handed. I was headed in this direction until we bought the O'28 this summer. A new asymerical is on "the list" for the new boat. Since the 25 is a downwind screamer in the first place, either choice should get her moving. PM
