Anyone have an owners manual for the 25, 1979, centerboard. I don't know how to resetup or rig the main sail

I am constantly amazed by some of the posts to this forum. They make me think of a 1 year old who needs to be spoon feed.

Do they ever look at the resources available and provided by our hosts, Captain Herring, Maine Sail?

I have a copy of the "Owners Manual" for the 25, actually, I have taken the original O'DAY supplied single-sheet "Manual" w/rigging diagram and updated it to a booklet form. I have included the original text (with updates) as well as the 1979 wiring diagram and am trying to sort out the instructions/diagrams for the optional mast-raising setup.

I can mail you a copy if you would like, e-mail me for details (I will need to ask for $10.00 to cover printing and postage, but will include scanned copies of the O'DAY 25 brochures [I have the 1979] and magazine ads that I have).

I hadn't looked at the owners manual in a while. Over the holidays I was in another brand 26 and in the ceiling of the cabin under the mast was a crack.
Sailboat Stay Tension:

I was taught the technique written in your copy of the O'Day 26 owner's manual years ago on another sailboat. So often on this forum we see question regarding Loos number. Loos are for racers, and if you use loos numbers on one of these boats you will over tighten tension causing compression of cabin roof.

Here the correct procedure is written in an owner’s manual (O’Day 26):

“With the mast plumb (in a vertical position) the headstay, backstay, and two upper sidestays should be tightened no more than hand tight plus one turn. The two lower sidestays should be just hand tight.”
