Does anybody know or have an original O'Day 25 manual (particularly 1975, but would appreciate any manual relevant to the O'Day 25. Copy or event scaned and e-mailed. Willing to pay a reasonable price if necessary. Thanks! Marc

Try these sites

Hi Marc - I am in the same boat (no pun intended) - looking for a manual for my Oday 25. I found these two links... the first one is for a 5 or 6 page PDF file for an Oday 26 (I figured its close enough!) and the second link was on this site, actually. they are scans of a 2 page 'quick start' guide. I got them to print pretty nicely, actually... it took some doing, but I got it. Good Luck, DPT http://www.bartlettsorchard.com/pickyourown/o'day.htm http://kb.sailboatowners.com/brand?cat=1298

1976 close enough?

I've got the owners manual and ALL the original documentation for my 1976 O'Day. I can scan it in if it will help. I'm going sailing this weekend, but drop me an email and I will send you a copy of anything you like on monday.

Print out

Dpt. I have tried for some time to get the manuals from this site to print. How did you do it? I think there is a few Oday 25 owners that could use those manuals. If i could get a good copy i wouldnt mind printing some copies for whoever needs them. I'am at the point of stepping my mast. But,because i dont know what i'am doing i'am putting it off for a while. The only thing i have to do to my boat is paint the bottom and she can go in the water. But because of the mast i'am dead in the water, or my yard. I was lucky enought to be in your part of the country a couple of years ago. I had to pick up a load of salt in Watkins Glen. Beautiful country.

RE:print out

HI Buck, The manuals on the sailboatowners.com I saved it this way: Click on the link I gave you. Then click on one of the manual links. This will open a window where you can see a small version of the manual. Click on that and it will open yet another window where it shows up again, this time a bit bigger. Then, I RIGHT clicked on the photo of the manual (cus thats what it is, scanned original) and "Saved As" whatever you want to call it. Then open that new file in some sort of photo editing software (most, if not all, computers today have something installed) and print it that way. I made sure I selected the highest quality print job... it came out for me in 4 pages (1/2 a page per page, if that makes any sense) and I litterally cut and pasted the pages together and made a hard copy - a total of 2 pages. If this doesnt make sense, give me your email and I will send you what I saved that way. The manual on the bartlettsorchard link is a PDF file (big, like 10mb) for an O'day 26... I simply saved it, and printed it out no problems. I figured a 26 rigging was close enough to my 25! email me - darius.talandis@gmail.com and I can try and send you the files for the 2 page rigging diagram for the 25, and if you need, I can try and send the 26 PDF manual (but not sure if I can send a 10mb file).
