I did a traveler for my O'Day 222 years ago and if I had it to do over again I would have bought a Garhaurer off Rudy Nickerson, D&R Marine. http://www.drmarine.com/ I bought a Nico Fico with knob spring stops and a cheap eye beam track. I mounted on a piece of Teak just in front of the companionway. It's OK and it works alright, but I wish I had spent a little more and bought something better. My main sheet was attached to the back of my boom to a triangular plate on my back stay. I removed the triangular plate and had Johnson Handy-Lock installed under the back stay turnbuckle. Then I was able to relocate my main sheet about a third of the way in on the boom. This was the best move I ever made.
