I'm interested in upgrading my O'Day 23 with a traveler for the mainsail. I'm looking for suggestions of what to buy and how to mount. Norman

I thought about this too

and I came up with two solutions (neither of which I have implemented): mount a traveler across the cockpit and change the sheeting from end boom to mid-boom. Or, mount a traveler on top of the stern pulpit. Of the two, I think the clear winner is the stern pulpit option. I would call the Harken, Garhauer (or whoever) people and tell them what I wanted to do and see what they have. Even though the equipment or its mounting brackets might need to be semi-custom (the pulpit has a curve to it), I think it beats having a traveler in the middle of the cockpit at knee level. If you do add something, please post it here so we (and by that I mean me) can all see it.

I'd be interested too

Yes please post more info if you do it. My thought with a stern mounted traveler is tiller and outboard motor use. Later Ed
