o'day 23 trailer selection

I recently purchased a '83 o'day 23 with trailer. I am not really satisfied with the trailer (Shoreline).What make and model trailers do other 23 owners use and how well do you like your trailer.

Dick -I do not trailer my boat but several sailors I know really like Triad. The last trailer I had was a Calkins and it was reasonably well done for the price.Justin - O'day Owners' Web

Rocket Trailer

I've got a Rocket trailer for my '23, and it works great. I'm pretty sure the company is located outside Miami, Florida. The trailer pulls great, behind my Expedition. Seems to hold the boat great, with bunks on the hull and rollers on the keel and front of hull.

Can You Modify?

Trailers are pretty amenable to modification. There pretty much bits and pieces. As long as the frame and suspension is sound, you can add bunks, rollers, supports, extra leafs. Parts can either be found from the maker or retrofitted using universal parts. I've modified a few over the years, including one I am doing now for a 16' runabout I'm restoring.What is it about your present trailer you don't like?Don
