The teak trim on my toe-rails are loose and the source of a leak (I suspect). Wkat is the best way to remove and refit them? I will be rebedding and refinishing them while they are off. Thanks in advance,Adam
Hi AD -I'm not certain, but there should be teak bungs covering screws that you'll need to drill out. Once the screws are removed, gently pry the toe rail up. Make sure you cover the hul to deck joint with something to keep rainwater out until you get the toe rails refinished and reinstalled.Sounds like your project will really spruce up your boat!Best of luck,Trevor
Hi Adam,I have an Oday 23 with teak toe rails. I'll be doing the same as you. I see where the teak plugs are for my teak handrails on the cabin top, but no where along the teak rails. I'd love to remove my teak rails, sand them down and varnis them too!Let me know how your project goes! Mark 1972 Oday 23 pop-tops/v Cattivo IGreen Bay, WI
