Argh- I am going to order a new main sheet, but I left it at the boat. What size is the line, folks?
Thanks!
Thanks!
The Main Sheet on my 222 is 3/8" Tro red braid and it is 42' long according to my manual. My boom vang is the same diameter but it has a longer line on it. There is one thing I like about dealing with Rudy. He knows the sizes and the lengths for different boats. To me this is very important. One year, I went down to Worst Marine and bought two 1/2" halyards to replace my main and Jib halyards without even thinking. I spliced them up for the shackles myself and used them. I had problems getting my sails up and down and come to find out that these halyards should have been 5/16".Argh- I am going to order a new main sheet, but I left it at the boat. Awesome!Knothead is the dude- he helped me learn how to do a constant diameter splice for my furler. No one within 500 miles knew how, so I had to do it myself and without his help I'd have been toast.
