O'day 23 Headroom?

Hi everybody!
I'm considering an O'Day 23-2. I have not yet seen one. I am confused about the cabins headroom. I thought it was 4'7". I saw a flyer on the 23-2 indicating a full 5' headroom in the main cabin. In my internet research I can only seem to find headroom measurements for the 23-1 of 4'7". Can anybody verify that the 23-2 came with 5' of headroom?

I was not liking the 4'7" but 5' does make a big difference for me.

Not sure what the exact measurement is, but 4' 7" seems low. I'm 5-9 and I have to stoop, but certainly not over a foot. It's probably closer to 5 feet or so.

Have you been on the boat yet? I recall the first time stepping aboard mine and thinking it felt roomy for the size. The 23-1 has a pop top, which extends the headroom quite a bit. Cool design.

No, I have not been on the 23 yet. I originally wanted a 25 for more headroom but do like a 23-2. I have read so many times "4'7" headroom". Then I saw a flyer that said 5' headroom on the newer 23. Was hoping to verify the 5'. I'm 6-0 exactily. Found 4'7" upsetting! When I read 5' I slapped a bit of tape on the wall and sized it up. Yep! I can do that! I think the 25 is just too much for me to be bothered with now or as I get older.

The 23-2 does have 5 feet of headroom. I researched it using the book, "The Sailor's Book of Small Cruising Sailboats: Reviews and Comparisons of 360 Boats Under 26 Feet" by Steve Henkel, and it was one of the best books I ever got. Bought mine 2 years ago, and I still love looking through this book. I'll post the 23 stats page for you.
