I recently bought a 1980 23 footer.It has a slide out sink with a pump .The boat is on jack stands and I want to know how to be sure there is no water in the tank.How does one drain the tank? tom.tarpey@comcast.net Thanks.
To see if there is any water in the tank you will have to get into the cockpit. The tank is under the cockpit sole at the fore end. You can easily see it through the lazurette on the port side. The tank is made of plastic and you should be able to tell if there is any water in it. I'm not certain but I don't think they have a drain.
Mine was (it's out right now) right behind the pullout sink. Is this not where it was originaly?? If it isn't then what was the space behind the sink assembly used for? I'm curently in the process of rebuilding the whole pullout assembly. The tank itself was very simple to remove for cleaning and re-plumbing. For now I plan on putting it back into the space aft of the sink Russ
