O'day 22 mast step

I have a 1973 O'Day 22 that I bought in January and sailed all summer. When I pulled out the boat I noticed the deck where the tabernacle is located is very slightlly depressed,less then 1/8". I don't know if this was there before and i didn't notice it or if it is new. the floor and post sre ok. Is this something to be concerned with or is it normal?

I think that it's something to be concerned with Nick. Two questions come up; Is the core rotted under the mast step and if not, is there adequate support under the mast? Perhaps you can post some pictures of these two areas of your boat.
