O'Day 22 Mast and Sail Dimensions

I have a 1973 O'Day 22 in need of a new mast extrusion and sails, thought someone here might have the dimensions handy. I've looked all over the net and find conflicting measurements as there is a masthead, tall rig and fractional rig.

I would like to order a new mast extrusion from Dwyer Spars and need a correct length for a masthead setup. I know I can get it at D & R but I'm trying to save a few bucks. If anyone has a sketch showing where the the hardware and spreader bars mount that would help too.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Well, the 1973 O'DAY 22 will use the masthead rig, so that answers one question. DWYER MASTS was a supplier to O'DAY and like any sparmaker will have all the dimensions in their records for the 22 mast. They offer "mast kits" that include the extrusion, the hardware, rigging, and a drawing with all locations and measurements. I'm not sure (actually, I doubt they would) if they would send you the drawing with out buying the mast kit, but who knows?

For general info.
The 22 had a masthead rig from 1972-79 and a taller, fractional rig from 1980-83. Mast length was 22'9" for the masthead rig and 27'3" for the fractional rig. Boom length was 8'6" on the masthead rig, 9'2" for the fractional rig.

Thanks for the info Sunbird. I was fairly confident with that measurement, just wanted to confirm with the experts!
