I'm looking for any ideas of how anyone has redone the inside of their Oday 22. My email address is shiipakka@earthlink.net. If you have any pictures and can send them as attached files, I'd love to see them. Also, how does anyone recommend cleaning of sails...mine are somewhat dirty. Thanks Scott-Oday 22 "In the Mood"

Fuel Locker

The best thing that I've done on my O'Day 22 is adding a fuel locker on the port side. After a great deal of measuring, and hours of loitering at West Marine, I made an odd shaped wooden box that fit almost all the way back behind the port bunk. (Otherwise wasted, unreachable space) Then the scary part! I then used a Dremel tool with a Roto-zip bit to cut through the vertical part of the cockpit seat. This cut was enlarged to fit an off-the-shelf hatch door. I added a second hole for a vent. It took a long time to find fuel tanks to fit, but it is well worth it. I never liked looking at a fuel tank down by my feet. My locker holds (2) Three gallon tanks as well as oil, and other dirty supplies.
