Howdy sailors! I'm looking to install the missing table that was fitted on O'Day 20. I see the mounting holes are still present in the floor. I'm looking for some pics and measurements of the original table so i can recreate it, or maybe someone has an original for sale?! That would be awesome. Thanks so much!

The good thing about getting a boat with no table is that you can create one to your own liking. Chances are you can do it better than the original.
Because over 1/2 of the the table in that screenshot in behind the bulkhead it is hard to make suggestions. But It doesn't look like it would be comfortable to sit at. Where do you put your legs?

Hey Shemandr, thanks for the reply. From what I can see, this table would swing over the settee and you'd just sit next to it at both side (starboard side), or if you swing it out, now it's sort of in the middle of the space and everyone can put their sandwich on it, so to speak. Or play some cards etc. I'd like to have this boat as original as possible. Installed the original alcohol stove in it etc. Not the best idea but it's original. Might have to do what you recommended - create my own one.

As is said around here “Your boat, your choice.” That’s not meant to be snarky.
Personally I would enjoy investigating something that could drop down from the head liner. In a small area flexibility is a great asset. Some of the fun of owning a boat is imagining solutions to make life aboard more comfortable and fun.
Good luck!

Andrew you're so right though, i think i'm going to make a table to the dimensions where it would best stored, cause I wouldn't want it there all the time. So that's a good point, my boat my table dims choice LOL, but it would be cool to know what the original was like. This is a small cruiser so every inch of storage counts and having something like a large table floating around won't make for a happy experience.
Cheers!

You could make the table dimensions what works best for you. That said, I suspect the original, optional table on the 20 would be the same as the one on the same vintage 22 (actually, actually, any table from a 1973-83 22 would be the same as the one used on the 1973-75 O’Day 20 I suspect)
